Every remap is made from the car's own ECU file, never from a file off the internet.
Every remap starts from the original file read from the car's own ECU. Generic files from the internet are not used: they are written for a typical car, not for this one.
Stage 1 and Stage 2 for diesel and petrol engines, on the bench or through the OBD port, depending on the ECU. Performance only: emissions-related solutions are separate and listed below.

The ECU can be put back on the original software. Faster on BMW, MINI and Mercedes; other makes take longer and are more complex, but it is usually possible.

The job stays open until the car runs right. File adjustments after the first drive are part of the job.
The starter turns the engine but the car won't start? Send the registration and what happens when you press start. The cause can be the key, the immobiliser or the engine electronics. First the fault is found, then you get a clear list of what needs doing.
BMW and MINI: a new key can be made even with no keys left. Mercedes: send a message first so the model and key system can be checked.
Vans often come in with AdBlue, SCR, DPF and EGR trouble. Solutions for these, custom remaps from the original file and back to stock, on the vans below and others.
Not on the list? Ask. Many makes share the same ECUs within a group, so send the registration and the ECU will be checked.
